Obituary for Judith Clayton

Judith Clayton
Judith Ann Clayton was born December 17, 1937 to Martha Lee and John Robert Barsch in St. Joseph, Missouri. Both of her parents, her daughter, Kristen Lee Haag and various other relatives are waiting to welcome Judy. She is survived by her husband Earl Clayton, her son, Charles Haag and daughter, Kelly (Dave) Blakley, her three grandsons, Evan Blakley, Kyle Blakley and Tyler Blakley. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Cruz, Gavin and Isabelle. Judy has one brother, Rodger (Sandy) Barsch and his family and their children.

Judy took pride in being an excellent cook, homemaker, wife, mother and friend. She never forgot to take a moment for her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Her love for each and everyone was very special and needed to be cherished. She loved family gatherings and was always the one to organize the birthday parties for her children even when they were too old for a birthday party.

Her family moved to Denver when she was young and she lived in Colorado the rest of her life. She graduated from Westminster High School. She and Earl have lived in Henderson for the last twelve years. Judy enjoyed cultivating her flower and vegetable gardens, which were always beautiful. Judy was a huge NASCAR fan and attended several races in person. She rarely missed a race on television.

Judy and Earl own a 1928 Chevrolet that Earl restored and they traveled to car shows with friends, which she really enjoyed. They have traveled over 180,000 miles in their hotrod. They made a lot of very good friends at car shows across the country. She and Earl also loved to travel to see new places. The latest trip was in January 2017 to South Padre Island, Texas with Kelly, Dave and Chuck.

On March 8, 2017 Judy lost her battle with cancer. Earl and her family will miss her very much. Judy did not want a memorial service she wanted a party to celebrate her life. Please join family and friends on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 1:00 at Stonebrook Manor 650 East 124th Avenue, Thornton, CO 80241 (124th and Washington). Lunch will be served. If you are able to attend, please text Kelly at 720-879-4316 or Jill at 720-363-1322 (if possible by March 13th). Please come with stories of Judy to share.
