Obituary for Mary E. Jacovetta (Fittig)

Mary Elizabeth Fettig Jacovetta, daughter of Mathias and Theresa Schmidt Fettig was born November 19,1931 near Burnstad, North Dakota. Mary is 13th of 14 children. She received her values growing up on the family farm in Burnstad, North Dakota. She was educated in a rural school and graduated from Napoleon High School in May 1950.
In January 1951 she moved to Bismarck, North Dakota and started working for North Western Bell Telephone Company. In January 1957 she took a company transfer to Mountain States Telephone Company in Denver, CO. between the two companies she retired with 25 years of service. After she retired she was a licensed childcare provider in their home. She did that until her husband retired from his job with Caterpillar. Mary was an avid reader and her favorite was American History. Everything about our Country wars, our armed forces and all the people fought for the strength and freedoms we all enjoy. She also enjoyed doing word search. Mary was preceded in death by her Husband Ronald of 55 years. They were married in January 1959 in Denver. In May 1961 they moved to Arvada, CO and were members of the Shrine St. Anne Church. Mary received her Angel wings in the afternoon of December 4th 2017.
She is survived by two daughters Karen Jacovetta-Carroll and Kathleen Jacovetta and two sons Kenneth (Linda) Jacovetta and Kevin (Julie) Jacovetta. Five granddaughters; Tonya (Dillon) Blazer, Amber (John) Schreiter, Brittany Jacovetta and fiancé Jaron Finn, Tierra Jernberg and Trisha Jernberg. Five great grandchildren; Gracie, Mackenzie and Eli Blazer, Ayden and Jay Schreiter.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, Benedict and Michael, four brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Regarda) Fettig, George (Margaret) Fettig, Anton (Verna) Fettig, and Joseph Fettig. Six sisters and brothers-in-law; Katherine (Phillip) Trusty, Margaret (Robert) Mooers, Anna (Walter) Bruns, Magdalene (Herman) Haas, Theresa Fettig and Clara Fettig. Four nephews; Valentine Fettig, Sebastian Fettig, Timothy Haas, and William Mooers, killed in Vietnam. Four nieces; Theresa Fettig, Sarah Mooers, Joann Haas, Shirley Fettig Tepley. One son-in-law also preceded her Edward Carroll.
Mary is survived by one brother Mathias (Agnes) Fettig, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
