Linda Marie Zambrano Pritchard

Linda Marie Pritchard, 1944-2022

On Tuesday, August 23rd, Linda Marie Pritchard fell asleep in the Lord just 18 days shy of her 78th birthday.

Linda was one of six siblings, predeceased by her parents, Stella and John, and her brother Robert. She was mother to Lynn and Sophia (Marlyse). She grew up in Hattiesburg, MS, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School. Her siblings are John, Richard, Robert, Marian, and Michael. She had her first daughter, Lynn, when she was 20 years old, followed by Sophia (Marlyse) four years later.

As a bookbinder, Linda specialized in restoring family bibles. She loved her work, and her business, Deep South Bookbinding, was known throughout the South, being based in her home in Mobile Alabama. She loved working with her hands and found joy in putting new life into cherished books.

She never lost her childlike curiosity and loved to find out how things worked and to discover innovative solutions to many situations. She was hands on, good with most any tool, and a hard worker. She was a true problem solver, creative, and inquisitive, never losing that spark to learn.

After she retired, Linda moved to Indiana and then to Arvada, CO, to be near her daughter, Lynn. That also brought her closer to her daughter, Sophia (Marlyse) who lives in Beaverton, OR. Linda had five grandchildren - Jason, Brystal, Allie, Amy and Zoya, and valued the moments that she spent with them.

Linda battled cancer, and mercifully did not suffer long. She peacefully reposed surrounded by her loved ones. Her loss will be felt by her family and many friends, but we trust in our Lord’s mercy and love, and pray that she is now in His loving embrace.
