Obituary of Linda Sheryl Honeman

Linda Sheryl Honeman (Sherry to all who knew her), 79, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2022 in Lakewood, CO. She was born in Joplin, MO on October 17, 1943 and lived there through her childhood. As an adult, she lived in many places but those places that meant the most to her include Kansas City, MO, Broken Arrow, OK and San Antonio, TX where she had many friends and touched a lot of lives.

She was proud of the various careers she had which included being a legal secretary and an HR specialist, but found the activities she was involved in her personal life most fulfilling. These included her mission trips to Guatemala, her various roles at the churches she belonged to and, most recently, she discovered a passion for playing pool in leagues while in San Antonio. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being the Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs and she loved rooting on NASCAR’S Jeff Gordon. She also enthusiastically supported her daughter, Chris, in all of her various childhood activities. Of all the parents in the stands, Sherry could always be heard above everyone else cheering the loudest at the games and competitions. She also loved all of the holidays, but Christmas was her favorite and she will always be remembered for the Christmas goody trays filled with homemade treats she created each year for her friends and family. She also cherished spending time with her brothers. They took many trips together and spent countless holidays together.

She has now been reunited with her husband, Ron Honeman, who passed away in 2017, as well as her mom and dad who passed away many years ago. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Honeman of Conifer, CO, and her brothers, John Giltner and Ron Giltner of Joplin, MO. Her life was well-lived and she will be missed by many. Services are pending and will be posted when they have been arranged.
