



Obituary of Manuel Jake Lobato
Manuel Jake Lobato, age 88, passed away on December 23, 2022 in Lakewood, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1934, to the late Jacob and Sarah Lobato. He was the son-in-law of the late Gilbert and Fidelia Chavez. He had 6 siblings, Josephine Abrego, Alex Lobato (deceased), Stella Trujillo, Donnie Lobato, Louise Lobato, and Gloria Lobato (deceased). Manuel met the love of his life, RayAnn LaRue and they had a real love story. They were married 70 years and had 5 children together. Gloria (Jerry) Williamson, Manuel Ray (Rosita deceased) Lobato, Phillip Lee Lobato (deceased), Matthew (Jackee) Lobato, and Alan Lobato (Janelle Hernandez). He was also a father figure to Mike (Tina) Portugal. He had 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great, great-grandchildren, several brothers, and sisters-in-laws, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Manuel was enlisted in the Marine Corps from 1954-1958. He then worked for the US Postal Service for 31 years. He attended Notre Dame Catholic Church. He loved to travel to Las Vegas and Central City to gamble. He loved to sing to RayAnn and the family and they always attended the family functions. He loved his lollipops. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Manuel was a special man, our hero, and loved by everyone.
