Obituary of Chad Alan Rhoades

With immense sadness, we share that Chad was called to his Heavenly home on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the young age of 38.

Chad was born on August 23, 1984 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to parents Warren and Shawn.

Brother to Nicole (Steve), Tyler (Sarah), Warren Jr (Ashley) and Dalton - step brother to Ryan (Rosie), Nate (Mariha), Rachel (Dave), and Baleigh (Kevin).

Chad is preceded in death by grandparents Warren & Elwanda Rhoades, Don Maring and step father, Bob Nikkel.

From a young age, Chad was always very outgoing and never struggled to make friends. He had more lifelong friendships than most. He was loyal and honest, loved to have fun, a naturally-talented athlete and much more but most importantly, he was a kind soul with an extremely large loving heart.

Chad met his wife, Brianna, when working for her father's construction/remodeling company in 2005. They have 2 beautiful children, Taylor (17) and Tucker (13), who meant the world to Chad. He was incredibly proud of all of their accomplishments. The ultimate family man.

Chad worked for Power Equipment Company for the last 17 years until his death. Co-workers and customers alike were drawn to his loving, friendly nature and his drive to get things done quickly and correctly. He was definitely the "go-to" guy when anyone needed help.

Chad loved watching the Broncos play and had plans to visit all of the football stadiums. As a sports lover in general, playoffs and championship games were always watched in the Rhoades Household! He also loved riding his Harley and would go for a ride whenever he could. (Sometimes, it was only 20 degrees but at least the roads were dry!) For the past few years, weekends have consisted of softball & basketball tournaments and football games. You could always HEAR Chad pull up before the games started.

Chad used to say that he "liked to keep a small circle" of friends. His stay at the hospital though would challenge that statement. Almost every day, Chad's room was at max capacity for visitors; Turns out that Chad just had a lot of "small circles".

Family, friends and friends that became his chosen family filled his room with love. Some had even traveled from out of state to see him and say their last good-byes.

Chad entered into hospice care on Saturday, May 20th at his Aunt Mel's house in Arvada and passed a few, short hours later.

Whether you knew him as a husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, or nephew - He was a great man and he is already so greatly missed.

Services for Chad will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 @ 11am.
