Rest In Peace Grete Irene Billings February 21 1941 - June 20 2023 Grete was born in Poland during World War II and raised in Erlangen Germany; she was the youngest of 2 siblings. She grew up as the quintessential beer maiden working at her parent’s Gasthaus the ‘Walfisch’. Grete met the father of her 2 children while he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. She moved to America and refined her English speaking skills while she raised her children in a cozy European-style house - that she and her husband built together in a quiet and scenic neighborhood in Golden Colorado. Grete loved to dance and was extremely talented at it; she engaged in the hobby as much as possible. She also ran a very successful food truck business, which only began to touch on her impressive cooking skills. Grete loved to laugh and never settled for a mediocre time; her timeless beauty made sure that she always commanded the center of attention. Grete had a general zest for life, and she cared deeply for others. She is survived by her daughter Denise Maria Fletcher (Steve) and son Paul Anatol Brill. Her granddaughter Taylor preceded her. Grete was loved and appreciated by all her friends and family. Her classy presence will be missed.
