Obituary of Donald Leon Pilcher
Donald Leon Pilcher of Lakewood Colorado passed away on 08 July 2023 at the age of 67. His passing was due to ongoing health complications.
He was born in Denver Colorado on 23 September 1955. He attended Adams City High School and studied at Red Rocks Community College. He was married to Robin Terry (Pilcher) resident of Biloxi Mississippi.
Don was an independent man and hard worker his entire life. As a youth he rode a paper route and played baseball. As an adult he was employed at the Coors brewery in Golden Colorado where he worked until retirement. Don was fond of the outdoors, partaking in mountain activities; most especially as a fisherman. Don’s love for motorcycles was especially strong over his last 20 years of life. He spent a lot of time on his Harley Davidson trike, catching “wind therapy” in the company of his dog Happy. Much of Don’s time was spent traveling the country to visit Robin, his children and his grandchildren. During his time at home Don could often be found at garage sales or visiting the local DAV in search of his personal treasures.
Most importantly was Don’s compassion for his fellow man. He was often seen helping those less fortunate, offering food, shelter or companionship. Don’s philosophy was to live life without intentionally doing another person harm.
He is survived by his children Don and Elisha along with Miranda, Lacey, Nate and Tabetha by marriage. He was fortunate to know his grand children Brittany, Brandon, Alexis, Natalie, Jakoda and Gunner along with Terris, Shaylyn, Zamaria and Trae by marriage. Don’s lineage is further carried on by his great-grand children Gavyn, Olivia, Gracelynn, Amelia and Westin. He additionally has two more great-grandchildren currently baking. He was preceded by his child Sarah.
