Obituary of Sharron L. Sherman

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Sharron Lucille Sherman (Cooley).  Sharron was diagnosed with terminal gallbladder cancer February 25, 2023 and lost her battle July 6, 2023.  She fought this devastating disease with the same passion she lived her life. 

Sharron was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 13th, 1943 to Albert and Lucile Cooley and had four brothers and one sister.

She earned an associates degree in Secretarial Training  from Colorado State University where she met and married William Sherman.  She spent most of her career managing their veterinary clinic in Denver, Colorado.

Sharron is survived by her husband William, children Linnea and Steve (her son David preceded her), six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her brother Ora. 

She became a Christian when she attended North Presbyterian Church in the 70’s.  She attended church regularly and lived her life loving the lord and everyone she met. 

She was an avid tennis player, cyclist, skier and four wheeler.  She bicycled Ride the Rockies ten times and the Ragbrai once.  She was a Ski Guide at Winter Park for the Ski Meister Ski Club for twenty four years and especially loved skiing the “bumps.”  She enjoyed camping, hiking and climbing fourteeners.  She loved to be with  people and instilled a passion for the outdoors and life to everyone who knew her.  She will be deeply missed.
