Obituary of Jayne Frances Wernert
Jayne Frances Wernert left this earth far too soon on July 15, 2023. Born to Benjamin and Mildred D’Agastino on May 10, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio as the youngest of four children. Jayne married her husband Jim, in 1983 and welcomed their only daughter Nikcole on September 7, 1983. In 1988, Jayne and her family moved to Colorado for a new adventure. She was strong-willed and stubborn but would give you the shirt from her back to ensure you were ok. Jayne was compassionate and inviting and loved to talk to everyone. She referred to most as “hun,” it was her term of endearment. She was content with the simple things in life, like her daily Starbucks runs, sunshine and picking her grandchildren up from school. She was always ensuring those she cared for were taken care of and would put others’ needs before her own, she was a caretaker at heart. Jayne was the most loving and amazing Nana to her three grandchildren who absolutely adored her back, her grandchildren were her everything. An absolute lover of all animals, she always said, if she was ever able to, she would open a giant animal rescue. Jayne loved her family beyond measure, and we always knew and felt it. She will leave a void in our lives and hearts greater than any words can describe. We were incredibly lucky to have her for the time we did.
She is survived by her husband (Jim), daughter Nikcole), Son-in-law (Chris), Granddaughter (Sofia), Grandson’s (Jackson and Tyler) Sister (Kathleen) and Brother (Michael).
Predeceased family include Mother (Mildred), Father (Benjamin) and Brother (Benjamin) and of course not forgotten, her four beloved dogs who meant the world to her.
