Olga Mckee, 87, of Denver Colorado passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday the 27thof June in her apartment, at The Village at Belmar. 

Olga was born and raised in Cartago, Costa Rica. She was the sixth child and only daughter of Alejandro Jimenez and Ophelia Morgan. After her mother passed, she was raised by her loving grandmother and aunts. Olga married Guillermo Barquero Castro and she gave birth to five children. They moved to Culver City, California in the late 1950’s. Olga graduated from Barnes Business School prior to her divorce. She met her second husband and love of her life James A. McKee in 1978 and moved to Denver, Colorado where she continued to raise her children. Olga completed her certification in cosmetology at Emily Griffith in Denver. She often traveled back to Costa Rica to visit her family and enjoy the warmer weather at her home in San Jose. Olga enjoyed gardening and nature, was a talented painter and created many beautiful handmade works of art. She loved to cook delicious food and welcomed many friends and family into her home. Olga had a tremendous love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Olga strived to live her best possible life, always willing to learn and looking for opportunities for self growth.

 Olga was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Arthur McKee; brothers, Ricardo Jimenez; Guillermo Jimenez;  Fernando Jimenez; Rafael Jimenez; son, Guillermo Barquero; great grandson, Xander Nichols. She is survived by her brother Mario (Ligia) Jimenez. Children, Rodrigo Barquero; Patricia (Rick Culver) Barquero; Lynette (Patrick) Nichols; Joan Barquero. Grandchildren, Jason (Ania) Nichols; Rod Nichols; Elisha Culver; Kyle (Amber) Nichols; Ashley (Chris) Sandoval; Morgan (Dylan) Burgett; Devin Barquero; Hannah Culver. Great-Grandchildren, Lilly Nichols; Clara Culver; Samuel Nichols; Benjamin Sandoval; Nehemiah Nichols; Jordyn Burgett; Jacob Sandoval; Amelia Nichols; Rylee Burgett; Emryn Burgett
