It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Leroy Vest announces his passing on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 88 years old.

Kenneth L. Vest was born in Nebraska in 1934 but spent most of his younger life in Edgewater, Colorado. He held many fond memories of growing up in Colorado, where he fostered his love for gardening in the outdoors. Kenneth was an army veteran, avid hunter, and loving father and grandfather. He was also a proud member of the Arvada Elks Club and the VFW. Following his service in the army as a young man, Kenneth settled down to raise a family in Arvada and ran successful shoe stores as well as a notable career in real estate. In his free time, you could find him tending to his garden, enjoying happy hour on his back porch, or reading up on history and politics.  Friends and family will always remember his love of family, sharp wit and caring generosity.

Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his children Julie Vest and Mary Brouder (husband Larry Brouder) and brother Keith Vest (wife Myrna Vest). He will also be fondly remembered by his two grandchildren Ann Stephens and Emily Brouder. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Beverly Vest, his son Eric Vest, and his daughter Nancy Armstrong. 

A funeral service in memory of Kenneth will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Aspen Mortuaries, Arvada Chapel (6370 Union St, Arvada, CO 80004) beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mount Olivet Cemetery at 1 p.m.
