Obituary of David Marc McCarl

David Marc McCarl, 71, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away September 12, 2023, with his family lovingly by his side.

He was born to Laverna and William McCarl in Rapid City, South Dakota, on December 10, 1951. Dave spent his rambunctious young life in California with is two siblings, Connie and Tom, before moving to Salida, Colorado, when he was in high school. He graduated from Salida High School (class of 1970).

Dave was married to Diana (Quintana) McCarl in 1998. His personality perfectly complimented hers. They lived in Littleton, Colorado, near family and friends.

He had a zest for life and adventure. Dave was often found enjoying the outdoors and loved being on the water, especially at Lake Powell where he could be found water skiing, swimming, or fishing. He had a love for cars and playing cards with the guys. No matter what Dave was doing, he was making memories and he often told stories of his adventures and antics. Dave cared deeply about his friends and family and made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed, but always in our hearts. Until we meet again.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana; children Sara (McCarl) Thompson (husband Wade Thompson) and Kevin McCarl; and grandchildren Tristan Thompson and Hunter Thompson. As well as his brother Tom McCarl (wife Kim McCarl), nieces Alicia McClure and Tami Smith, and nephew Landon McCarl. 

Dave's Celebration of Life will be November 3rd 12:00 @ the American Legion at 1655 Simms.
