Lucia Volke Dougherty (1923 – 2023)

Lucia Volke Dougherty, 100, of Arvada, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2023. She was born to Josef Volke and Bertha Wagner Volke in Krainsdorf Kreis Glatz, Silesia, Germany on September 29, 1923.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William J. Dougherty, her sister, Hedwig Kastner and her brother, Ludwig Volke.

She is survived by her four children Wilhelm Dougherty (Alisa), Ramona Ross (Erwin), Mary Dougherty, Diane Dougherty, her grandchildren Derek Dougherty (Carrie), Devin Dougherty (Andrea), Andreas Ross (Abbey), Jasmine Smith (Chad), Ryan Ross (Cassandra), her great-grandchildren Kennadi Dougherty, Emily Ross, Mason Ross, Logan Ross, Bryant Ross, and many nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be held on October 16th at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 West 58th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 16th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 West 58th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of choice.
