Carole Plonkey

Obituary of Carole Loretta Plonkey

The world has lost a beloved mother Carole Loretta Plonkey born March 8th, 1945, she passed away on November 26th, 2023, at the age of seventy-eight. She was a loving mother of four children Toni, Tara, Travis and Tawn, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Carole had a free spirit, loved being outdoors with family and friends, she was especially fond of Rick and Maryjo Taylor. Saying she loved and cared for animals would be an understatement, she was known for taking in and looking after numerous animals from ducks to horses and everything in between. She enjoyed movie nights with family and one of her favorite spots was staying at the lake house sipping a hot cup of coffee with her kids. With a broken heart she will be missed as a loving grandmother, best friend, beach buddy but mostly just as MOM.

Thank you mama.. for passing on the love of all critters to me. I remember saving baby pigeons at the horse barn, taking in strays all the time and the happiness that brought to you. Thank you for making me strong. Our relationship was complicated in so many ways that many do not know nor will, but the love was always there. I am relieved you are not suffering anymore and free. I’ll see you on the other side mom. Watch over Tara, Travis and Tawny..

Love you mama

I Miss You Mom…

I thought about you with love today.

but that is nothing new.

I thought about you yesterday.

and days before that too.

I think of you in silence.

I often speak your name.

All I have are memories.

and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake.

with which I will never part.

God has you in his keeping.

I have you in my heart.

Momma you are one of the most amazing women I know, you were so loving to Jaeden you two were inseparable. Not only are you my mom but you are my best friend. I am so fortunate to have been able to spend so much time with you. I will never forget the movie nights, all the shopping trips, facials and toenail paintings, holiday dinners, all the trips to the lakehouse man you loved it out there. All the laughs we had joking around, the drives we took to see the Christmas lights, all the naps you took in my car with Jaeden while I drove, we even got to experience the monarch butterfly migration together. I am missing you so much, who is going to help me plant all the flowers and help Travis with the garden… Perhaps you will just shine down upon us and make everything grow beautiful like Dad did.  The turkeys, toads, butterflies, crickets, flowers, windchimes and the moon all remind me of you. Thank you for teaching me to love all animals and for sharing your life with me mom, I miss you more then you will ever know. I wanted to hold your small soft hand forever and never let it go
