One year later, Paul Schroeder followed her to Chicago and they were married 3 months later on November 28, 1953.
They spent the next 67 years together taking care of each other. They lovingly welcomed their children Rose, Kathy and Peter into their home and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Paul & Helga stayed in the Chicago area for almost 40 years before deciding to move to beautiful Colorado.
